Bulb Boy 2 - Jar of Despair (Switch)

Port Factory was engaged to bring Bulb Boy 2: Jar of Despair to Nintendo Switch, adapting the sequel to the award-winning indie horror adventure for a new console audience. Built in Unity, the project required careful optimisation and platform-specific integration while preserving the game’s distinctive 90’s cartoon-inspired aesthetic — vibrant, twisted, and grotesquely charming.

Our scope included full technical porting, performance optimisation for handheld and docked modes, controller adaptation, platform compliance, and Nintendo certification support. Particular attention was given to maintaining visual fidelity and smooth input responsiveness within Switch hardware constraints.

The result is a seamless console experience that stays true to the original creative vision while expanding the game’s reach to a broader, cross-platform audience.
